Aluminum (Al) Single Crystal Substrates
Application:
Ideal for fundamental research in metal physics, surface science, and epitaxial growth studies requiring high-purity metallic foundations.
Product Overview:
This product features high-purity (≥ 99.999%) Aluminum single crystals grown via the Bridgman Method. It offers precise orientation control and excellent material quality. Due to the inherent softness of high-purity aluminum, the substrates are processed with specialized chemical-mechanical polishing (CMP) to achieve a surface roughness of Ra < 100Angstrom.
Key Specifications (Single-Sided Reference):
– Material: High Purity Aluminum (Al)
– Purity: ≥ 99.999% (5N)
– Crystal Structure: Cubic (a = 4.049 Angstrom)
– Growth Method: Bridgman Method
– Physical Properties: Melting Point 660.4 °C, Density 2.7 g/cm^3
– Hardness: 2.75 (Mohs)
– Surface Roughness: Ra < 100 Angstrom
– Orientation Tolerance: Miscut < 2.0°
Important Usage Notes:
1. Surface Defects: Being an artificially grown soft metal single crystal, small micropores (hole lacuna) may exist on the polished surface after CMP processing. This is a normal characteristic of the material.
2. Storage: The polished surface has high chemical activity and oxidizes easily. It is strongly recommended to store the substrate in a vacuum environment and use it as soon as possible after unpacking. Do not store for long periods.
