Natural Rubber Vacuum Tubing, 3.3 Feet (1 m)
ZHC LAB’s Natural Rubber Vacuum Tubing provides a flexible, durable connection for vacuum systems, filtration setups, and general laboratory fluid and gas transfer. Made from high-quality natural rubber with thick wall construction for consistent vacuum performance and resistance to collapse under reduced pressure. The soft, flexible body allows easy connection to glass and plastic fittings without tools; the smooth inner wall minimizes flow restriction and is easy to clean. Available in four ID/OD combinations to fit the most common laboratory fitting sizes, with wall thicknesses ranging from 2 mm to 5 mm. Each package contains one continuous 3.3-foot (1 m) length. Not food grade.
DIMENSIONAL SPECIFICATIONS:
6 mm ID x 11 mm OD (1/4″ ID, 2.5 mm wall): fits 6 mm / 1/4 inch glass and plastic nozzles; 3.3 feet (1 m) per package
8 mm ID x 12 mm OD (5/16″ ID, 2 mm wall): fits 8 mm / 5/16 inch nozzles; flexible, easy-bend option for general vacuum connections; 3.3 feet (1 m) per package
8 mm ID x 18 mm OD (5/16″ ID, 5 mm wall): fits 8 mm / 5/16 inch nozzles; heavy-wall construction recommended for sustained high-vacuum applications; 3.3 feet (1 m) per package
10 mm ID x 16 mm OD (3/8″ ID, 3 mm wall): fits 10 mm / 3/8 inch nozzles; suitable for larger-bore vacuum and gas transfer lines; 3.3 feet (1 m) per package
Material: natural rubber
Color: white
Temperature range: 0deg C to 80deg C
COMMON APPLICATIONS: Connecting vacuum pumps to Büchner funnels and vacuum filtration flasks; assembling Schlenk lines and vacuum manifolds; reduced-pressure distillation and rotary evaporator connections; general laboratory gas and liquid transfer through glass and plastic tubing joints; connecting aspirators and water jet pumps to glassware.
USAGE NOTES: Select the tubing ID to match the outer diameter of your glass or plastic nozzle for a secure, airtight fit. For sustained vacuum applications, the 5 mm wall (8 mm ID x 18 mm OD) option is recommended to prevent wall collapse. Cut tubing cleanly with scissors or a sharp blade; use a twisting motion when fitting over glass nozzles to avoid stretching or tearing. Do not use with concentrated acids, strong oxidizers, ketones, or halogenated solvents. Store away from direct sunlight and ozone sources to prevent premature degradation. Order multiple units if longer runs are needed.
