Polypropylene Wide-Mouth Reagent Bottles, GL45 Cap

Polypropylene wide-mouth reagent bottles with GL45 blue screw cap, manufactured from virgin PP resin conforming to USP Class VI standards. Suitable for storage of aqueous solutions, buffers, culture media, reagents, acids, bases, and alcohols in chemistry, biology, and environmental laboratories. The GL45 threaded neck provides compatibility with standard bottle-top filters, dispensers, and cap assemblies. The integrated annular leak-proof groove on the cap provides an airtight, drip-resistant seal to prevent evaporation and contamination. Bottles feature molded-in metric graduation markings and a large labeling patch for easy sample identification. Autoclavable at 121deg C with cap removed. Available in three body styles – round, square, and round with ergonomic handle grip – and in clear and amber color. Clear bottles allow direct visual inspection of contents; amber bottles block UV and visible light for storage of light-sensitive reagents. All sizes share the same GL45 cap thread, making caps fully interchangeable across sizes.

COMMON APPLICATIONS: Reagent and buffer storage; cell culture media preparation; chromatography solvent containment; environmental water sample collection; light-sensitive reagent storage (amber); autoclave-compatible liquid sterilization; powder and viscous liquid storage.

USAGE NOTES: Cap should be tightened firmly by hand – do not overtighten. Autoclave with cap removed or loosely placed to allow pressure equalization; retighten immediately after removal. GL45 thread is compatible with standard bottle-top filters and dispensers. Chemical compatibility reference for PP: Excellent resistance (30+ days continuous exposure without damage) to dilute/weak acids, fatty alcohols, and bases. Good resistance (30 days with minimal effect) to strong/concentrated acids, aldehydes, esters, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Not recommended for aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, or aromatic ketones – these solvents may cause softening, swelling, or leakage within 7 days of contact. Not suitable for strong oxidizing agents, which may cause immediate damage. Square bottles maximize storage density on shelving; handle bottles recommended for 500mL and 1000mL sizes for safer one-handed pouring.
