Cardboard Freezer Storage Box, 2 inch Height, Attached Lid, 5/Pack

ZHC LAB’s Cardboard Freezer Storage Box is designed for organized, low-temperature archival of cryovials and microcentrifuge tubes in -20 deg C and -80 deg C mechanical freezers as well as liquid nitrogen vapor-phase dewars (-196 deg C). Each box features an attached hinged lid printed with an alphanumeric grid for rapid sample identification and inventory tracking without opening the box. A removable cardboard grid divider separates individual tubes to prevent cross-contact during handling and transport. The exterior is finished with a water- and ice-resistant coating that preserves structural rigidity through repeated freeze-thaw cycles and resists moisture wicking in high-humidity freezer environments. Available in 81-well (9 x 9, 14 mm well bore, for 1.5-2.0 mL cryovials and external-thread cryogenic vials) and 100-well (10 x 10, 13 mm well bore, for 0.5-1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes). Supplied 5 boxes per pack with grid dividers included.

DIMENSIONAL SPECIFICATIONS:
81-Well (9 x 9): 5.20 x 5.20 x 2.01 inch (132 x 132 x 51 mm), 14 mm (0.55 inch) well bore, fits tubes up to 13 mm OD, 9 x 9 cardboard grid divider included
100-Well (10 x 10): 5.24 x 5.24 x 2.05 inch (133 x 133 x 52 mm), 13 mm (0.51 inch) well bore, fits tubes up to 12 mm OD, 10 x 10 cardboard grid divider included
Material: coated cardboard with water- and ice-resistant exterior; cardboard grid divider
Temperature range: -196 deg C to +121 deg C (-321 deg F to +250 deg F)
Lid: attached hinged lid with printed alphanumeric inventory grid
Compatibility: standard freezer racks accepting 5.25 inch (133 mm) square, 2 inch height boxes
Colors: white (standard), or assorted 5-color pack (white, blue, orange, green, red)
Pack size: 5 boxes per pack

COMMON APPLICATIONS: Long-term cryogenic storage of cell lines, primary tissues, serum and plasma aliquots, DNA/RNA extracts, and protein samples in -80 deg C ultra-low freezers and liquid nitrogen vapor-phase dewars; biobank inventory management and sample tracking; clinical and diagnostic specimen storage; molecular biology, cell culture, and microbiology laboratory freezer organization; pharmaceutical stability studies and reference standard archival.

USAGE NOTES: Insert cryovials or microcentrifuge tubes into the grid divider wells with caps facing up. Record sample information on the lid grid using a permanent marker, cryo-resistant label, or pencil. Store boxes horizontally in standard freezer racks. The water- and ice-resistant coating maintains integrity down to -196 deg C in vapor-phase liquid nitrogen; prolonged direct immersion in liquid-phase liquid nitrogen is not recommended. Allow boxes to equilibrate briefly at ambient temperature before opening to minimize condensation on tube surfaces. Boxes are intended as single-use consumables but may be reused if structurally intact. Do not autoclave. Dispose of in accordance with local laboratory waste regulations.
