304 Stainless Steel Retort Rings, 3-Pack
ZHC LAB’s 304 Stainless Steel Retort Rings provide corrosion-resistant, heat-tolerant support for funnels, filter flasks, round-bottom flasks, and other glassware on laboratory retort stands. Each ring is fabricated from 304 stainless steel for excellent resistance to common laboratory chemicals, organic solvents, and high temperatures – a significant advantage over iron rings, which rust readily in humid or solvent-heavy environments. Each ring features an 8 mm diameter straight rod, 200 mm in length, that inserts into a standard bosshead clamp holder for attachment to any retort stand rod. All rings are closed with no gap for secure vessel support. Bosshead not included. Pack includes three rings in inner diameters of 80 mm, 100 mm, and 120 mm.
DIMENSIONAL SPECIFICATIONS:
80 mm inner diameter: inner dia. 80 mm, outer dia. 96 mm; rod diameter 8 mm, rod length 200 mm; overall length 296 mm; closed ring; 304 stainless steel
100 mm inner diameter: inner dia. 100 mm, outer dia. 116 mm; rod diameter 8 mm, rod length 200 mm; overall length 316 mm; closed ring; 304 stainless steel
120 mm inner diameter: inner dia. 120 mm, outer dia. 136 mm; rod diameter 8 mm, rod length 200 mm; overall length 336 mm; closed ring; 304 stainless steel
Rod compatibility: 8 mm straight rod inserts into standard bosshead clamp holder (bosshead sold separately)
COMMON APPLICATIONS: Supporting Büchner funnels over vacuum filtration flasks; holding round-bottom flasks at height during distillation and heating; supporting separatory funnels during liquid-liquid extraction; elevating filter paper funnels over collection vessels; general glassware support on retort stands in synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and teaching laboratory setups.
USAGE NOTES: These rings require a separate bosshead for attachment to a retort stand rod – insert the 8 mm rod into the bosshead channel and tighten the thumb screw firmly before loading. Select the ring size so the vessel OD fits comfortably within the ring interior, typically with a wire gauze or clay triangle as a support surface. For hot glassware, use heat-resistant gloves when repositioning rings. Rinse with water or ethanol after exposure to halide-containing solutions to prevent surface pitting.
